Our story

GukBap

Korean dish consisting of hot soup with rice and various ingredients including meat, vegetables and spices. Gukbap – meaning “soup with rice,” where ‘Guk’ means soup and ‘Bap’ means rice. A delicacy once enjoyed by the Joseon Dynasty, described as a clear, hot soup and rice dish.

History notes that (Korean) King Hyeonjong secretly splendored in this dish, while other nobles and royalties refrained. Modern times honour this truly delicious soup for its richness and warmth; a standard to be enjoyed among all.
